MULLANE, Anne Anne "Nancy Gray" Mullane closed the circle on a long and good life on August 23, 2009 in Calgary. Anne was born in 1920 in Drumshanbo, Ireland, educated in Mullingar, Ireland and moved to London, England during the Battle of Britain where she worked in the Ministry of War Transport. She met and married her husband James in London and together they raised seven children. The family immigrated to Canada in 1957. Anne worked in law, government and insurance, was an organizer in local politics and a committed Catholic throughout her life. In retirement she devoted her time to her grandchildren, politics and travel. Anne traveled the world and made friends everywhere. She was predeceased by her son Declan, brother Patrick, husband James and sister Margaret. Anne is remembered with love and pride and carried forward forever by her children and their families, Edmond, Anne Marie, Les, Stephanie, Jordan, Brigid, Monica, Michael, Lesley, Sarah, Ryan, Barbara, Ursula, Raimo, Carl and Kristin and those to come. She is survived and mourned by her sisters Helen, Brigid, and Maureen and extended family and friends throughout the world. The family extends a warm thank you to Bow View Manor and the Foothills Medical Centre staff for their kind care of Anne. A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at Foothills Cemetery, Turner Valley, Alberta.
