GORRIE , Joel Leon October 10, 1934 - August 28, 2009 Joe passed away peacefully in Calgary at Southwood Hospice, after a long, courageous battle with lung cancer. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of fifty-five years, Gail Gorrie; his five children Jay Milne, Nancy (Dave) Hembroff, Michelle (Glenn) Thomassen, Dr. Christopher (Peggy) Gorrie and Mandy (Dr. Kevin) McCabe. Joe is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and his brother Gerald (Peggy) Gorrie. The family wishes to thank Dr. Kent Anderson, Dr. Peter Thornton, Dr. Thomas Tam and all the caring staff at the Rockyview General Hospital and the Southwood Hospice that looked after dad.
