STANLEY, Wendell Entered into rest peacefully at the Sherwood Park Manor on Wednesday, July 22, 2009. William Wendell Carmi Stanley of Brockville Aged eighty-eight years. Beloved husband of Joyce (MacRae) Stanley. Dear father of Carol Stanley-Bonet and her husband David of New Market, stepfather of Arlene Thompson and her husband Kenneth and Peter McIntosh all of Brockville. Loving grandfather of Grant Harris of Toronto, Lisa Stanley and Heather Bonet both of Newmarket, Natalie Mallette (Darrell Comeau) of Chateauguay, QC, Jeremy McIntosh of Prescott, Corey Thompson (Christine) of Kingston, Ryan Thompson of Brockville, Christopher Thompson (Dionne Masse) of Banff, AB, and great-grandfather of Justyn and Trystan Mallette-Comeau, Nathaniel and Caleb Thompson and Emily Thompson (Darryl's Daughter). Also survived by Emily's mother Maria Karampelas. Brother of Marcia Giles of Belleville and Wilhelmina Stoneham of Hanover, also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents David and Leah (Strader) Stanley, a grandson Darryl Thompson and step-daughter Lorraine McIntosh. A Memorial Service will be held at St. John's United Church, Brockville (corner of Park St. and King St. East) with Rev. Myra Garvin Officiating on Saturday, August 1, 2009 at 1 p.m. Interment will take place at Dundela Cemetery at a later date. In memoriams to St. John's United Church would be gratefully acknowledged by the family. Refreshments and fellowship will follow at the church.
