Evan Robert Langille August 31, 1913 - December 25, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Halifax) LANGILLE, Evan Robert - 91, Halifax, with his "Hon" by his side, passed away December 25, 2004, in the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Blockhouse, August 31, 1913, Evan was a son of the late Robert and Charlotte (Ernst) Langille. He was a veteran of the Second World War and retired from CFB Stadacona in 1978 as a stationery engineer. Evan and Louise (Munroe) were married May 4, 1940 - a romance that endured over 64 years. He is also survived by son, Paul (Catherine), Molega Lake; daughters, Irene (Kenneth) Sampson, Kingston, Ont.; Nancy (Terry) Scott, Cambridge, Ont.; grandchildren, Shawn (Shelley) Sampson, Louise (nee Scott) (Paolo) Cremasco, Laura Sampson and Karen (Nick) Scott-Cone, all of Ontario; stepgranddaughter, Amber Langille, Hubbards; great-grandsons, Alexander and Zachary Sampson, Scott Cremasco; sister, Doris Emberly, Dayspring; half-sister, Florence (Charles) Bent; half-brother, Carl (Susan), Bridgetown. He was predeceased by sisters, Edna Rhodenizer, Marguerite Knickle, Amy Joyce, Audrey Conrad; brothers, Roger, Edwin, Ernest and Donald. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 29, at 2 p.m. in Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 2098 Windsor St., Halifax, Rev. Kimber MacNabb officiating. A reception will follow. Interment will be in Fairview Lawn Cemetery, Windsor St., Halifax. Family flowers only. Donations in Evan's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
