Helmer, Cecil Helmer, Cecil, 88 years, passed away, peacefully, Saturday, December 25, 2004 at the Sun Parlor Home. Formerly of Talbot Street West. Beloved husband of Vivian June for 68 years. Dear father of George and wife Raili, Leamington; Bob and wife Ann, Delta, B.C. Loving grandfather of Karen Ryckman and John Dama, Lisa Van Heck, Wayne and Tina Helmer, Eric Helmer and Karen Skeats, Melany and Charles De Weerdt, Shawn and Kim Helmer, great grandfather of Jennifer and Justin, Curtis, Kaitlin, Jordan, Austin, Monique, Richard, Julia, Mark, Alain, Chloe, Brittany, Christy and great great grandfather of Johnathan. Predeceased by two brothers, Bill and Harold and by two sisters, Fern Helmer and Irene Bowes. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Cecil was a member of the Lions Club in Leamington and South Porcupine. He also worked at Parkdale Service and the Sun Parlor Home. Visiting at the Reid Funeral Home, 14 Russell Street Leamington (326-2631), on Tuesday 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to celebrate Cecil’s life, from the funeral home on Wednesday December 29, 2004 at 1 p.m. Rev. Del Stewart officiating. Interment Erie Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Leamington Hospital Foundation, Sun Parlor Home or Cancer Society.
