John Solohub May 19, 1926 - December 26, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Regina Funeral Home SOLOHUB, JOHN – was born in Poland in 1926 and immigrated to Canada in 1932. He was predeceased by his son Allan; father, Peter; mother, Katrina; and brother, Joe. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Freda; daughters: Yvonne Mutschall and Jackie Fleming(Larry); daughter-in-law Janice Shentaler; five grandchildren: Jenifer, Jesse, Aimee, Joseph and Nicole; sisters: Mary, Anne, Olga, Pauline and Helen; brothers: Mike and Bill as well as numerous nieces and nephews. John was a very hard worker, spending most of his working years in construction, operating a back hoe, laying sewer lines across Saskatchewan. John could tell you the year of every location he ever worked and stories from each job. Prior to his retirement, John and Allan worked together with various companies. John retired in 1991 and spent most of his time at home. His last days were lived out at Parkside Extendicare due to heart complications. May he rest in peace. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 1380 Elphinstone Street, Regina, SK, on Monday, January 3, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. Family and friends are invited to sign a book of condolences at www.obituariestoday.com.
