John Douglas VIRTUE

VIRTUE, JOHN DOUGLAS - 1927-2004 John Douglas Virtue ,77, of Gunningsville passed away on Monday, December 27, 2004 at the Moncton City Hospital. John was born in Sussex on August 22, 1927 the son of the late John and Sadie (Keirstead) Virtue. He was a member of the Lower Coverdale Baptist Church. He was a plumber and owned and operated John Virtue's Plumbing and Heating for over 40 years. He was also a member of the Plumbers Association. He was a veteran and served overseas in World War II. John was a special man who loved spending time with his family and also enjoyed taking drives in Albert County to visit with his many friends. John was known for his kindness and generosity to everyone. He will never be forgotten. He will be deeply missed by his two children Betty Fowler (Bruce) of Lakeville, NB and Wesley Virtue of Edmonton, Alberta; also by his precious granddaughter Melissa Fowler ; sister Julia Virtue of Sussex; brother Raymond Virtue of Pembrooke, Ontario. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his loving and cherished wife Helen (Stuart) Virtue who passed away on December 4, 2003. He will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Wednesday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. The funeral service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Thursday, December 30, 2004 at 2pm with Rev. Jack Allen officiating. Internment will be in the Bayview Cemetery, Harvey in the spring. Following the service, the family will be meeting with relatives and friends at the funeral home for further fellowship , sharing of memories and refreshments.
