SIMPSON, Clarke I. - Passed away peacefully at the Hyland Crest Senior Citizens Home, Minden on Friday, August 28, 2009. At the age of 86. Beloved husband and Best Friend of the late Glenda for 62 years. Deaf father of Lynda Shearer and her husband John, James and his wife Jeunne. Loving grandfather of Carole Jones (Jamie), David Lacey (Berniece) and great grandfather of Stephanie and Theresa and great-great grandfather of Nathan. Dear brother of Rhoda Horton, Gladys Swayne and predeceased by Ruth Pilling, Zeta Byrne. Brother-in-law to Glenna Young, Ann Condor (Gord) and predeceased by Grace Kelso (Herb), Robert (Bob) Young (Marjorie), Joseph (Joe) Young, Frank Horton, Dexter Pilling, Bill Swayne and Leo Byrne. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends. Friends are invited to visit the family at the GORDON A. MONK FUNERAL HOME LTD., 127 Bobcaygeon Rd., P.O. Box 427, Minden K0M 2K0 on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 from 12:00 o'clock noon until the time of the Funeral Service at 1:00 pm. Interment at the Kinmount Cemetery, Kinmount. Reception to follow at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #441, Kinmount. A Masonic Service will be held on Monday at 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
