BAKER, Dorothy; At Toronto General Hospital on Saturday afternoon, September 5, 2009 in her 76th year. Beloved wife of the late Stuart Baker (1996). Loving mother of Jennifer Baker and Stephen (Maureen) Baker. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren Anya and Christian. Dear sister of Laina, Aila, Bill and Rodney. Also lovingly remembered by her nephews Bob, Michael, Andy, Benjamin, Kent, Alan, Robert, Chad, Shane, and John and by her neices Jill, Caroline, Diane, and Carrie and her great nieces and nephews. Dorothy was Councillor for Ward 1 for many years and was an extraordinary volunteer for many community based organizations such as Haliburton Highland Games, Royal Canadian Legion Branch #129 Haliburton, Haliburton Police Support, Haliburton Horticultural Society and the Dysart Library Committee. Friends are invited to call at the HALIBURTON COMMUNITY FUNERAL HOME at 13523 Hwy #118, Haliburton, Ontario (705) 457-9209 on Thursday evening, September 19, 2009 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Friday morning, September 11, 2009 at 11 o'clock. Interment Evergreen Cemetery Haliburton. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Highland Games or Point in Time - Food for Kids would be appreciated by the family.
