Gil SCHARF

Pastor Gil Scharf On December 28, 2004 at Renfrew Victoria Hospital, one of God's Holy Innocents slipped gently and unexpectedly home. Rev. Gilbert Allan Scharf, is survived by his partner in life and ministry, Bonnie Jane MacDowall; children, Steven, Bob, Stephanie (Renfrew Wellness Centre) and beloved granddaughter Zoe; brother Arthur of Edmonton and mother Margaret Scharf of Arnprior. Deeply missed by Neil MacDowall and Sandra Milton. Predeceased by parents Harold and Yvette (Gauthier) Scharf, and brother Walter. He was never happier than when he was doing ministry, whether as parish pastor or church administrator. His last service was Christmas Eve. Friends may call at Goulet Funeral Home, 310 Argyle St. Renfrew, Monday, January 3, 7-9 p.m. A Parish Memorial Service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, Rankin on Tuesday at 1:30 with Bishop Michael Pryse preaching.
