FLEMING, Reverend Duncan Kennedy - Passed away peacefully on Sunday September 13, 2009 in his 82nd year, surrounded by his family at Victoria Village Manor in Barrie, Ontario. Recently predeceased by his wife Eva; Father to Scott (Andrea) of Campbell River, BC, Leigh of Barrie, Jonathan (Heather) of Kitchener and Sheila Perri (Claudio-deceased) of Oro Station. Predeceased by Brother Gordon (Mary), Sister Ena Foster; sadly missed by his Brother Ian (Kit) of Bobcaygeon, and Sister Margaret Brown (Claude-deceased) of Minden. He will be fondly remembered by Grandchildren Reena, Mandy, Mike, Ryan, Christy, Erin, Lauren and 3 great- grandchildren. Duncan will be remembered by many as past Pipe Major of the Orillia Legion Pipe Band and founder of the Orillia Scottish Festival. He spent many years as a teacher and proponent of the highland bagpipes to many pipers in Southern Ontario. Visitation will be held from 2:00- 4:00 PM on Sunday, September 20th at the SIMCOE FUNERAL HOME, 38 James St. E., Orillia, Ontario. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson's Society of Canada or the charity of your choice.
