BORGES, Margarida Torres - With her family at her side at C-K Health Alliance Chatham Campus, on Sunday, September 13, 2009, Margarida Torres Borges, age 73, beloved wife of Manuel of Chatham. Born in the Azores on September 27, 1935, daughter of the late Margarida (Rezendes) and Ceaser Torres, she came to Canada in 1973. She will be sadly missed by her loving children, Zelia (Todd Reaume) of Kingsville, John and Joe (Tammy Willan) all of Chatham, Fatima (Leonardo Lopez) of Leamington and Teresa (Whitney Hornick), George (Georgina Borges) and David (Melissa Ball) all of Chatham, 14 cherished grandchildren, Dianne, James, Patrick, Brittany, Paul, Mark, Marlena, Sylvia, Rui, Johnny, Jordan, Jamie, Drew and Gabriella and 3 precious great-grandchildren, a sister Zelia Cabral of Chatham and 4 brothers, Manuel and Ceaser Torres of Chatham, Joe Torres of Winnipeg and John Torres of Chatham. She is predeceased by an infant daughter Conceau. Friends and relatives may call at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday where Parish Prayers will be offered at 6:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church. Burial will be St. Anthony's Cemetery. Donations to the Diabetes Association or the Liver Foundation would be appreciated.
