JAY, M. Louise - A resident of Ridgetown, Louise Jay died peacefully with her family by her side at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Saturday September 12, 2009 at the age of 78. Born in London, daughter of the late Meldrum & Lillian (Mowat) Wilkie. Beloved wife of the late Clarence A. Jay (1979). Loving mother of Margaret & Karl Riess of Oshawa, Susan & Gary Speed of Muirkirk, Deborah & John Bratt of Woodstock, Wendy Jay of Ridgetown, Scott & Norma Jay of Muirkirk, and Peter & Jennifer Jay of Chatham. Cherished grandmother of David, Brian, Katherine, Nathan, Laura, Ashley, Aaron, Michael, Jordan, Logan, and Madelynn. Proud great grandmother of Austin. Louise graduated from Public General Hospital as a Registered Nurse and worked for many years as Head Nurse at Blenheim Community Village. She was a long time member of Erie Street United Church and U.C.W. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Tuesday 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service at the Funeral Home on Wednesday September 16, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Judith Fayter of Erie Street United Church officiating. Interment Duart Cemetery.
