John Pius WHITE

WHITE, John Pius 2009-09-22 John Pius White, 53 years old, passed away peacefully in his sleep at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre on September 16th, 2009 with his girls beside him. Pius was an active member of the AIDS of Thunder Bay for 16 years. Pius was an active and outspoken activist and advocate as PHA. He was the recipient of the City of Thunder Bay "The 2008 Citizen of Exceptional Achievement Award" (spirit of Thunder Bay Award). Predeceased by his parents Patrick Gordon and Delores White, his brother Russell and his niece Tracy Lynn. Pius leaves behind two brothers Pete (Liana) and Joe of Elford, BC; four sisters Cathy (John) of Fort Frances, ON; Ann (Fernando) of Toronto; Joan (Richard) of Edmonton, AB and Harriet (Drew) of Thunder Bay. Sadly missed by his 9 nieces, 5 nephews, 6 great-nieces, 5 great-nephews and all of his friends. Cremation has taken place. Interment will be held at a later date in Little Falls Cemetery in Atikokan, Ontario. He will be sadly missed by all. Jennifer, Matthew & Keivan - We love you Uncle Pius. Teddy bear hug.
