McKNIGHT, Kirsten Jane - BFA, York; MISt, University of Toronto. It is with profound sadness that we announce that Kirsten, after a long and courageous battle, has died of complications of leukemia, in her 40th year, on September 22, 2009. She is survived by her adored husband, Peter Turner, of Hamilton, ON; her parents, Rick and Nancy McKnight, Barrie, ON; her brother Doug (Margo) McKnight and nephew, Nick and niece, Julia, Georgetown, ON; and many cousins. During her all too brief time with us, Kirsten touched the lives of many, who will miss her wit, talent, compassion and capacity for love. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Jeff Lipton and the staff of the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, Princess Margaret's Hospital, Toronto for their dedication during many years of care and to Dr. Joe McMullen and staff of the 4th floor CCU, St Joseph's Hospital, Charlton Campus, Hamilton for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at Princess Margaret's Hospital, Toronto and the 4th floor CCU, St Joseph's Hospital, Charlton Campus, Hamilton. Visitation at The Church of the Holy Trinity, 19 Trinity Square, Toronto on Sunday, September 27, 2009 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. A memorial service will be held at The Church of the Holy Trinity, 19 Trinity Square, Toronto on Monday September 28, 2009 beginning at 1:00 pm
