MULDER, Harm Jan “Harry“ - The Lord in His infinite wisdom called home Harry Mulder on Thursday, September 24, 2009, saving Harry from any additional suffering and discomfort. Born in Sappemeer, Holland on June 30, 1935 Harry and his family immigrated to Canada in 1952. After originally settling in the Brockville, Ontario region, Harry soon made St. Catharines his home. He was an avid fan of every local sports team, from the TeePees and Saints to the Stompers and A's. His career as a salesman included selling bread for Toastmaster, milk for Stewart's, and flowers throughout Southern Ontario and Western New York for Creekside, Bayview and Arnie's Flowers. Always quick with a story and a smile, Harry was popular with clients and co-workers alike. Harry was predeceased by his wife and fellow sportsfan Barb Mulder (Frick) in 2005. Survived by his 4 sons, Rick (Carla) of Kearney, Missouri, Ron (Sue) of St. Catharines, Randy (Pam) of Fenwick, and Jeff (Lori) of Waterloo. Also survived by 2 stepsons Mark (Shari) Stevens of St. Catharines and David (Carrie) Stevens of Pt. Colborne. Harry was proud to be “Opa“ to 18 grandchildren; Christina, Kelsey, Riley, Keaton, Brenna, Haley, Kyle, Darryl, Noah, Helana, Matthew, Benjamin, Zachary, Joshua, Cory, Sara, Robbie and Jessica. Harry is also survived by the patriarch of the Mulder family, his 99 year old father Harry Mulder of Brampton. Also survived by his brothers Ralph (Frances), Jim (Ginny), Peter, Al (Wilma), sister Geraldine, sister-in- law Beth and Gerry and brother-in-law Dick. Predeceased by his mother Harmke, stepmother Wietske, brothers John and Andy and sisters Alice and Joan. Harry was a member of Scottlea Presbyterian Church and faithfully ministered to by Rev. Martin Wehrmann. The family will receive friends at Scottlea Presbyterian Church, 515 Scott St. on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Memorial Service will take place in the Church on Tuesday September 29 at 1 p.m. A private interment will take place at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens.
