LAPOINTE, Lucienne (Belanger) - Passed away September 25, 2009 at the age of 89 at the Welland extended care with her family at her side. Lucienne was born February 6th 1920 in St.Magloire, Quebec to the late Alfred and Roseanna Belanger. Loving wife of the late Gerard Lapointe (1975). Dear mother of the late Monique Pucci (2002), Pauline (Bill) Edwards of Florida and Julie Lapointe of Calgary, Alberta. Sister of Gemma Maurice, Alida Belanger, Jeannette Mailloux, Therese Larochelle, Colette Plante, Raymonde Marcoux and sister in law of Gemma Belanger and Eloi Marcoux. She will also be missed by her son in law Lou Pucci. Lucienne was predeceased by her sisters Alfreda Labonte, Emelda Labonte, Alice Aubin, Simone Belanger her brother Paul Belanger. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends. A special thank you to all the staff and nurses of the Welland Extended Care Unit, your compassion was greatly appreciated during her final days. Private family visitation will take place at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME 827 East Main Street Welland. The funeral service will held in Eglise Sacre Coeur with interment to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. If desired donations to the Welland Hospital Extended Care Unit will be greatly appreciated by the family. Therese, Colette, Lucille, Jacques and Lori we could not have gone through these last couple of weeks without your help and support.
