ST. CLAIR, Elsie S. (nee Johanson) - Elsie was raised in Kirkland Lake and after a time in Southern Ontario she returned to Kirkland Lake to be closer to her mother, daughter and the rest of her family. She can be remembered most for her care for both seniors and children. Elsie also loved animals and had a special cat named Babes. She was an advocate for seniors in her seniors' apartment building and often would be seen in the social lounge laughing and playing skipbo with all her friends. Elsie enjoyed watching her daughter play baseball and was fondly referred to as Mrs. Mugs. She brought so much joy to so many people and will always be remembered for her Zest for life. Elsie was predeceased by her parents Mildred “Jean” Hartlen and Sigurd “Gus” Johanson; siblings Ingrid Johanson and Fred Johanson. She is survived by her daughter Debbie “Mugsy” McMullen; brother Kurt (Shirley) Johanson of Limoges, ON.; special nieces Cindy (Brian) Portalance and Carol (Bruce) MacKinnon as well as many other nieces and nephews. Elsie will also be remembered by Kelly Bodick, Cory McInnes, Dianne Preston, Edna Kelly and Peter Swanson. Private family arrangements will be held and Elsie will be laid to rest in the Kirkland Lake Cemetery. Donations in Elsie's memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation (P.O.
