RANDVEER, Elmar - (1923-2009) The family announces with sorrow his death at the Timmins and District Hospital on Friday, September 25, 2009 at age 86 years. Beloved husband of Aina (nee Heikkila) and dearest father of Karen Watt (Stephen) of Toronto and Don (Suzanne Bowman) of Sudbury and grandfather of Trevor and Cameron Watt. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Jackie Heikkila of Gogama, his cousins Bob and Leila Jarvis of Simcoe, nieces Sandra (Jim) Young of South Porcupine and Julie (Greg) Berlingeri of Milton and his nephew John Heikkila of Fort McMurray. Pre-deceased by his brother Peter and brother-in-law Oliver Heikkila. The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Julie Auger and the staff at Timmins and District Hospital for the excellent care given to Elmar. A longtime resident of South Porcupine, Elmar had been employed with the Kidd Creek Met Site where he retired in 1986 as Chief Electrical Engineer. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2009 in the Chapel of the Miron- Wilson Funeral Home. (Rev. Stan Johnstone officiating) Interment Tisdale Cemetery. Remembrance donations to the Salvation Army, the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or the St. John's Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
