REED, Ronald Paul 2009-09-29 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather and great grandfather Ronald Paul on Friday, September 25. Ronald has gone to dwell with the Lord and his soul mate Irene. Ronald was born in Emo , Ontario on June 8, 1930 and was the youngest of five children. When he was five the family moved to Port Arthur where they established a farm. He met the love of his life Irene who at the time was the minister at the Salvation Army. He continued to be active in the church until his passing. Dad had worked at both Armstrong Van Lines and the Lakehead Board of Education until his retirement. Ronald enjoyed fishing, travelling and his family. He was most proud of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ronald is survived by: daughter Hilary McIver (Sandy), adopted son Mitchell, Saskatchewan, grandchildren Geri Chadwick (Scott), Chad (Molly) and Derrick (Fiancée Stacey), great grandchildren Tyler and Kayla Chadwick, brother Daniel Reed (Eunice), various nieces and nephews as well as best friends Edith and Ray Cardinal. Ronald was predeceased by: his wife Irene, parents Henry and Lois, brothers: Albert, Harry and David, and stepsisters Bertha and Doris. Cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service on Thursday, October 2, at the Salvation Army, 2621 Victoria Avenue at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at Thunder Bay Regional Health Science Foundation, Salvation Army Community Church or charity of your choice.
