Douglas Ramsay George At Whisperwood Villa on Tuesday, September 29, 2009, of Douglas (Doug) Ramsay George Sgt. Major, RCMP retired L Division. Veteran of Second World War No. 1 Provost Corp. of Charlottetown, age 97 years. Dear father of Nancy George (Paul Gray), Vernon River; Elizabeth “Beti” Gaudet (Paul), Calgary; and Janice Coffin (Roger), Charlottetown. Lovingly remembered by his brother, Ronald George (Saanichton, B.C.), grandchildren, Christopher Gray (Margo Bulpitt), Halifax; Kimberly Hinds (Chris), Ottawa; Peter Gaudet (Tajia), Calgary; Michael Gaudet (Janelle Wright), Calgary; Jennifer Drake (Jonathan), Vernon Bridge, and Eric Coffin, Oyster Bed Bridge. Great-grandfather of Emily Gaudet, Caleb Drake, Ella Drake and Bridget Gray. Mourned by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife, Lorna Belle (Duncanson) George, his parents, Frederick William and Harriet Olivia (Ramsay) George, his brother, Edmund William George and his sisters-in-law, Phyllis (Davies) George, Anne (Creighton) George and Jean (Fox) George. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home from where the funeral will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday at 11 a.m. Interment in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Visitation Thursday 4-7.
