JOHNSTON, Gordon 1948 - 2009 In loving memory of a devoted father, husband and friend who, after a lengthy, courageous battle with cancer, passed away on Monday September 14, 2009 at the age of 61. He left this world peacefully to join his mother Rita Simpson (Nivedita) in the next. He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Leticia, daughter Julia, son Kevin, his brothers Mike, Murray, Chris, Kevin, his sister Mary, his father Gordon Sr. and the rest of his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada in Gordon's memory would be appreciated ( www.braintumour.ca ). The family would like to thank Dr. Del Maestro and Dr. Gertler who helped Gordon defy the odds and to all the doctors and nurses from the 5th floor oncology wing at the Ottawa General Hospital who helped Gordon throughout his journey.
