ZEBEDEE , Douglas John June 5, 1922 - September 14, 2009 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Douglas John Zebedee on September 14, 2009. Doug was born on June 5, 1922 in Ponoka, Alberta to Clara and Edwin Zebedee. Throughout his life, Doug held many jobs, most notably being a grain elevator manager for various grain companies in Alberta. These jobs took him to the communities of Nanton, Fort Macleod, Vulcan, East Coulee and Michichi. He lived the last eleven years in Airdrie, AB. He was predeceased by his wife Frances on April 8, 1999. Doug will be lovingly remembered by his family, Douglas R. (Lyn) of Calgary, AB, Donald (Lynn) of St. Albert, AB, Carolann (Peter) Wambeke of High River, AB, Randall and Wayne of Drumheller, AB, and Barbara (Trevor) Bateman of Olds, AB. He is also survived by his ten grandchildren, Peter, Janelle, Stacey, Matthew, Amy, Kelly, Jamie, Dustin, Casey, Nicole as well as his four great-grandchildren Megan, Nathan, Shannon, and Adian. Doug enjoyed traveling, gardening, camping and spending time with his family and friends. Flowers are gratefully declined. Cremation is arranged with Parklawn Crematorium (High River, AB).
