Betty Frances OBREITER

KANE , Betty Frances (nee OBREITER) October 28, 1964 - September 3, 2009 It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Betty (Bobby) Kane. After a courageous battle with cancer Betty passed away with her loving husband Scott by her side. Betty was born in Edmonton, raised in Calgary and graduated from St. Mary's High School. Following high school Betty joined the Canadian Air Force where she was posted throughout Canada and Germany. After twenty-three years of service Betty retired from the Air Force to live happily on their acreage in Cold Lake, AB. Betty will be deeply missed by her husband Scott, parents Lina and Fabian Obreiter, brothers Fred, Andre, Eric (Sandy), Bill, Richard (Wendy), her sister Pat Obreiter, nieces and nephews; Kristin, Jocelyn, Karja, Nathan, Lowell and Ali, all of Calgary. Betty was predeceased by her brother Roger Obreiter. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to Bonnyville Palliative Care Program at Postal Bag 1008, Bonnyville, AB T9N 2J7. Funeral Mass will be held at St. James Catholic Church (5504 - 20 Street S.W., Calgary) on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. Published in the Calgary Herald on 9/17/2009
