Marylou RICARD

HYLAND, Marylou (nee Ricard) At the age of 59, on Thursday, September 17, 2009, at the Elisabeth Bruyere Health Centre following a courageous battle with cancer. Marylou was predeceased by her parents Anatole and Lulu (nee Stevenson), sisters Bernadette (Raymond) Cherryholme , Joan (Arthur) Lavigne, and baby brother Michael. Marylou will always be remembered with love and laughter by her children Lee (Kelly) and Zeke; her sisters Aileen McElroy, Ann, Suzanne (Dan) Murphy, Cindy and Anne-Marie; her brother Joseph (Susan); Peter Hyland (the father of her two sons); her nieces and nephews Debbie, Carol, Judy, Jay, Nicholas, Megan, Julia and Joel and many friends and colleagues in the medical community, in particular at the Southbank and Active Care Medical Centres. The family will always be grateful for the love and support provided by her friends Linda Layton, Judy Holmes and Sue Gheday, and her palliative care team at the Elisabeth Bruyere Health Centre, especially the wonderful nursing staff on 5B. Friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street (at O'Connor) on Sunday, September 20th from 2-9p.m. and on Monday, September 21st after 10a.m. A Celebration of Marylou's life will follow in the Chapel at 11a.m. Memorial donations can be made to the Elisabeth Bruyere Health Centre or the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation.
