TIBBO, Dorothy Marie (Armstrong) On Friday, September 18, 2009. Predeceased by her husband Wilson (1995); loving mother of Margaret (Grant Crawford) and Carl; loving Grammy to Blake and Gramma T to Graham; sister of Jim (Leona) and Helen (Bob). We will all miss you terribly, but hold wonderful memories of your amazing positive spirit and love of your family. Dorothy was born in Brussels Ontario on October 27th, 1922. Met and married Wilson in 1952. They spent 13 years in Sault-Ste-Marie and then moved to Ottawa in 1965. She believed strongly in service to others, doing for and giving to the less fortunate and through her membership at Parkdale United Church, participation in the IODE and two different bridge clubs she enjoyed fulfilling this goal. She also worked for DND for 20 years where she made many life-long friends. All of us will certainly remember a very gracious lady with a consistently positive attitude. Dorothy was especially grateful to the nurses, doctors, and staff of the ICU at the Queensway-Carleton hospital for their compassionate care over the past three weeks. Visitation at Hulse, Playfair & McGarry Funeral Home, 315 McLeod, on Tuesday, September 22 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral on Wednesday, September 23 at 11 a.m. in the chapel with interment following at Pinecrest Cemetery.
