MARTIN , John Scott July 21, 1912 - September 17, 2009 The family of John Martin sadly announce his passing at the Southwood Hospice at the age of 97 years. John is survived by his wife Eileen, son Doug (Wendy) and daughter Julie. He also leaves to mourn, granddaughter Alana, grandsons Jonathan (Christine), John (Anna-Marie), Carson, Lester (Lauren), Brian (Tara), and great-grandson Lowell. John will be remembered for his keen wit and sense of humor, proud service with the Calgary Highlanders in World War II, and his unconditional loyalty to family and friends. A celebration of John's life will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 285, 9202 Horton Road S.W., Calgary, Alberta on Friday, September 25, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's memory to a charity of one's choice.
