John Marshall GIBSON

GIBSON , John Marshall On Tuesday, September 22, 2009 John passed away after a brief battle with cancer. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, bother-in-law and friend. He will be sadly missed by his wife Mary and four children, Dawn (Jason), John (Renee), Moira (Sean) and Andrew, and six granddaughters; Ffyona and Isla, Mira and Iris, and Emily and Sadie. Also missing him is his much loved dog Fern. John was born on February 6, 1942 in Dumfries, Scotland and grew up in Lochmaben, Scotland before immigrating to Canada in 1988. He was predeceased by his father John S. Gibson and mother Jessie Gibson. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 28, 2009 at Lord Of All Lutheran Church (112 Lakeside Boulevard, Strathmore) at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to Peter Lougheed ICU (3500 - 26 Avenue N.E., Calgary, T1Y 6J4) or Strathmore Hospital (200 Brent Boulevard, Strathmore, T1P 1J9).
