METCALFE, Alexander Leith "Lee" December 24, 1931 - Sept. 23, 2009 retired RCMP S/Sgt formerly stationed in Dauphin, Manitoba, Frobisher Bay, Winnipeg, Kenora and Ottawa Passed away quietly in Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital, surrounded by family and friends on Wednesday evening, September 23, 2009 in his 78th year. Predeceased by his loving daughter Leanne Janette Mullins. Survived by Ann, his loving wife of 51 years, his dear grandchildren Chelsea-Ann and David and their father Chris, his brother John "Don" Hurlbut, his special niece Andrea, several other nieces, nephews and cousins, his friends Al and Del Hill, Christine and Scott Kudla and Barb Taylor. Many thanks to Pastor Clarke Young, his lovely wife Keri-Lyn and their adorable children. Special thanks to the awesome nursing staff at ADMH and the OGH, Dr. Robert Boersma and Dr. Stuart Oake. We will love him and miss him forever but are comforted that he can now spend time with his angel, Leanne. Funeral arrangements by The Boyce Funeral Home Ltd 138 Daniel Street N. Arnprior A memorial service will be held in Glad Tidings Pentecostal Church, 116 Baskin Drive W. Arnprior in celebration of his life on Wednesday September 30, 2009 at 11 a.m. Visitation after 10 a.m. at the church.
