VEILLEUX , Brendan Michael January 8, 1920 - September 20, 2009 Brendan Veilleux was born in Sherbrooke, Quebec to Stella and William Veilleux, as one of nine children. He graduated from Loyola College in Montreal and joined the military prior to World War II and served overseas in an armored division where he obtained the rank of Major. After the war he married his wife Rae Jean Kinnon and attended McGill University where he earned a Masters of Science Degree with a major in Geology. He joined Shell Oil Company and was Shell's Western Manager for Geological Studies and Exploration up until his retirement. Brendan was predeceased by his wife, Rae Jean, his parents, and five of his siblings. He is survived by his son Brendan Jr. and family, and his sisters Stella Mayhew, Monica Galvin, and Eilleen Hammond. A Funeral Mass will be held for Brendan on October 6, 2009 at St. Gerard's Catholic Church (8944 Elbow Dr. S.W.) at 10:00 a.m. Published in the Calgary Herald from 9/26/2009 - 10/3/2009
