McGOWAN , Dorothy Evelyn Passed away on Thursday 24 September 2009 at the age of 88 years at the Colonel Belcher. Predeceased by her loving husband of fifty-two years, Jim McGowan, she is greatly missed by her children Arlene (Rick), James (Lene) and Lynn (Michael), her grandchildren Jonathan, Miranda, Tyrell and Jolyn, her sister Margaret and her sister-in-law Dorothy Ann. "Dot" was a charter member of the Calgary Rock and Lapidary Club. She was also an enthusiastic member of the Gadabouts Square Dancers and the Second 60's Hiking/Skiing Club. A Service will be held Thursday, October 1 at the Royal Canadian Legion, 9202 Horton Road S.W., starting at 2:00 p.m. The family would like to express their thanks and sincere appreciation to the staff of the Colonel Belcher.
