Gregory Stephen OATES

OATES, Dr. Gregory Stephen 1956 - 2009 Greg passed away suddenly on September 26, 2009 in Ottawa, Ontario. He is deeply missed by his fiance, Elizabeth (Liz) Seaton, and her son, Lucas Seaton. Predeceased by his father, Reverend Kenneth Oates, Greg is survived by his mother, Grace Oates, and siblings: Julian (Anne), Judith, Andrew, and his niece and nephews, James Markle, Janet Markle, and David Luke Oates. The Seaton family of Woodstock and California hold him dearly in their hearts. Greg was a chiropractor in Lambeth and the London area. A man of many talents and interests, he was a skilled craftsman and golfer, enthusiastic sailor and avid cyclist. Greg led a full and active life, filled with friends and love. A funeral will be held on Friday, October 2nd at Faith United Church, Vansittart Sanctuary (formerly Chalmers United Church), 15 Vansittart Ave., Woodstock, Ontario. Visitation at 1:00pm and service at 2:00pm, reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that donations be made to a charity of your choice.
