Gérard BRAKKE

BRAKKE , Gerard May 15, 1960 - September 28, 2009 Gerard Brakke, beloved husband of Carolyn Joyce of Calgary, passed away at the Foothills Hospital on September 28, 2009, at the age of 49 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his two daughters Madelyn and Alannah; his parents Carl and Tina; brothers Frank and Paul; as well as extended family in Calgary and Halifax. He was predeceased by his grandparents. "Now it's time for you to do the talking, and I'll do the listening." For those of us who knew Gerard during his short time on Earth, we were truly blessed to know him. For those who knew him, Gerard was Gerard, or for some, he was "Big G". Gerard was a truly remarkable man, he was a nurturing father to his two daughters, Madelyn and Alannah and a loving and devoted husband to his true love, Carolyn. Gerard had a very caring and light-hearted soul. He was a teacher and the kind of man you could trust. Gerard was a real family man who loved spending time with his family. Gerard was a trailblazer, an entrepreneur, an inventer, a provider, a community leader, a thinker, a son, a brother, a daddy and a husband. Gerard reached for the stars and now he is one. God bless you Gerard for being you. We miss you and we will always love you.
