LABOMBARD, Mr. Gordon - At the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, on Saturday September 26th, 2009 Mr. Gordon Labombard Sr. of Chatham in his 81st year. Cherished son of the late Isadore and Vergie Labombard. Beloved husband of Marcine (Brown). Loving father of Gord Jr. and his wife Darlene of Guelph, Jim and his friend Monica Sluys of Mitchell Bay, and Mary Frances and her husband Dan North of Guelph. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Season and her husband Michael, Jasmine, Allan, James, Samantha, and Caitlyn and his great grandchildren Alanna, Braden, and Zach. Dear brother of Dorothy Schram, and Dora Bechard and her husband Orville. Predeceased by his daughter Heather (2002), sisters Ruth Cudney, Tillie Bekaert, Flora Ellis, and Doris Frederick, and brother Roland Weedon. Gord served with the Royal Canadian Artillery in Korea. He was a Scout Master at Park St. United Church, a member of the CAW, the Imperial Club, a lifetime member of Legion Branch 628, and a retiree of Motor Wheel. Family and friends are invited to the ALEXANDER FUNERAL HOME, 245 Wellington West, Chatham, 519-352-2710 on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service for Mr. Labombard will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Tuesday September 29th at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Gordon Reynolds officiating. Interment Maple Leaf Cemetery. Friends planning an expression of remembrance are asked to consider The Legion Poppy Fund, or Childhood Cancer Research.
