POWESKA, John - Peacefully at Versa Care on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 in his 86th year; Beloved husband of Josephine; Loving father of Dr. David and Greg Poweska and his wife Mary. Dear grandfather of Sonya Poweska of Ottawa and Adam Poweska of Cambridge. Brother- in-law of Pauline and Eugene Adamczyk of Pennsylvania; Ed and Gloria Sasiela of Brantford; Heather and Ben Sasiela of Kitchener and their families. Uncle to several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the “THORPE BROTHERS' FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL“, on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm with CWL Rosary at 3 pm and Parish Prayers at 8:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 235 Brant Avenue, on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at 10 am. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery.
