GILBERT, Peter H. - Passed away suddenly on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at the St. Catharines General Hospital at the age of 75 years. He will be dearly missed by his beloved wife and best friend, for over 50 years, Mavis. Devoted dad to Sue and her husband Michael Godfrey. Proud grandpa of Christopher Labelle, Nicole Labelle, David Godfrey and Alexandria Godfrey. Dear friend of Barbara and Janet. Peter has been involved with the Literacy Society here in St. Catharines for many years and was most recently appointed as Chairman of the Board of Director's this past year. A Memorial Service in celebration of Peter's life will be held on Friday, October 2, 2009 at 11 a.m. at First Grantham United Church, 415 Linwell Road with the Reverend Doctor Paul Miller officiating. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to the Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family and may be made through the offices of HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church Street (905- 684-6346).
