McCARTHY, John Edward - On Sunday September 20, 2009 in his 77th year. John is survived by his brother James and wife Sylvia of Thorold, nephews Richard, John and wife Yumiko, Paul and niece Pamela. Great Uncle to Naoise, Ciaran, Audrey. John resided in Toronto for 30 years, New Zealand for 5 years until returning to St. Catharines 10 years ago. He was known as a quiet, kind, generous man of minimal needs. A private family service was held. Memorial Contributions to Wellspring Niagara would be appreciated by the family.
