Arthur OADES

OADES , Arthur Born July 19, 1926 - Rochester, Kent, England. Died September 29, 2009 - Victoria, BC. It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Arthur. He will be sadly missed by his wife Evelyn, his children David, Scott (Elizabeth), Debbie (John), Cheryl (Dennis), Leslie, Richard (Valerie) and his six grandchildren. He worked for thirty-three years for Westin Hotels. He worked his way up to Manager. Opening the Westin Winnipeg, then on to the Bayshore and his last position was at Westin Calgary working as Manager for twenty years. He returned to Victoria upon retiring. He belonged to many service clubs at one time and enjoyed planning community functions and charity events. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at First Memorial Funeral Home, 4725 Falaise Drive, Victoria (Telephone 250-658-5244). In lieu of flowers please give to the charity of your choice.
