OBITUARY JOAN MADELINE ROBERTSON (nee Gausden) October 11, 1912 - September 29, 2009 Died after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease, cheerfully borne. A long-time resident of Hudson Heights, she was a founding member of the Chancel Guild of St. James Anglican Church, and a member of Whitlock Golf Club and Hudson Yacht Club. Former F/O RCAF (Women's Division), she served overseas based at Lincoln's Inn Fields, London, England. Former administrative staff member at McGill University, Geology Department, and Hudson High School. Pre-deceased by parents Claude and Maida Gausden (Rutherford), brother Claude and sister Gwenyth (Higgins); husbands F/O William Boyd Reynolds, RCAF, shot down over The English Channel during WWII, and Lt/Col George Ross Robertson, former Commanding Officer, Victoria Rifles of Canada. A kind and generous woman, she was an avid bridge player, world-traveller, dog lover and birder. She will be sadly missed by her cousin Phyllis Dillon (Gausden) of Montreal, QC, niece Frances O'Dell (Higgins) of Edmonton, AB, and friends David and Jean Molson of Vancouver, BC, as well as Peter and Ian Williamson of Hudson, QC, to whom she will always be "Mrs. Joan". Special thanks to the staff of Chateau-sur-le-Lac, St. Genevieve, QC, for their loving care of Joan. A memorial gathering will be announced at a later date.
