TARABY, Adele It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Adele Taraby on Tuesday, September 29th, 2009, at the age of 97. Predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, James Taraby, and her seven brothers and sisters, Michael, Nassif, John, Abe, Nora, Julia and Fred. She will be sadly missed by her niece, June Salhany and June's husband, Gilles Charbonneau, who lived with her after the passing of her husband, lovingly cared for her as she battled Alzheimers Disease and were by her side at the Hospice at May Court where she passed away peacefully. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Adele and her husband Jimmy owned and operated The Specialty Shop on Elgin Street for many years. A special thank you to the many caregivers who assisted her over the last several years, and for the kind, compassionate care she received at the May Court during her final days. A private funeral service was held in the Chapel of the McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road.
