CONDUIT/BENINI , Gwenyth Mae August 10, 1924 - September 30, 2009 Gwen passed away peacefully on September 30, 2009 at the Southwood Hospice in Calgary at the age of 85 years. She is survived by her sister Joan Sivyer (Ottawa); loving sons Fred (Marian) of Kelowna, BC, Tony (Lisa) of Victoria, BC, Barry of Kelowna, BC and Tim (Wanda) of Calgary, AB; seven grandchildren, Bradley, Barbra, Brenden, Julie, Jesse, Matt and Paula; numerous nieces and nephews and several special friends. Gwen enjoyed travel, music and dance. She was especially proud of her granddaughters' involvement in dance and her grandsons' achievements in curling and soccer. Mom was a highly energetic person known for her independence and strong will, possessing a wonderful sense of humour and outgoing personality. "Bingo will never be the same." A Memorial Service for family and friends will be held at LEYDEN'S Chapel of Remembrance (corner of 17 Avenue and 2 Street S.W., Calgary) on Thursday, October 8, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation c/o Tom Baker Cancer Centre, 1331 - 29 Street N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 4N2.
