DANIELS, Mary (Patraluk) 2009-10-06 April 15, 1920 – October 2, 2009 DANIELS: It is with sadness that we say good-bye to our Mother, Baba, and Aunt. Mary passed away on October 2, 2009 at the age of 89 years. Mary was born in Fort William and was a life-time resident of Westfort. She was the daughter of Mike and Frances Patraluk and sister to Nellie Andrews and John Patraluk and aunt to many nieces and nephews. She is survived by her son John Tarnow (Bev) of Calgary and grandchildren, Chelsey Tarnow, Shannon (Chris) Martin, great-granddaughters, Chantal Steeves, Tiana and Bria Martin. She was predeceased by her husband, Metro (Mike) Daniels, son Michael, sister Nellie and brother John and parents Frances and Mike. Mary‘s love of gardening enabled her to continue working until just a few years ago and she was noted for her preserves and sharing the bounty that came from her garden. She was a faithful member of the Church of the Ascension and volunteered in helping raise funds through the sale of pyrogies. Her home, family and church were her main interests. A visitation will be Monday evening at the Blake Funeral Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Removal will be made to the Church of the Ascension (corner of Gore and Mountdale) on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 for Panachyda at 7:00 pm. Funeral Liturgy will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at 10:00 am with Rev. Andrija Petresin officiating with interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery. If friends so desire in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation. A tree will be planted in memory of Mary Daniels in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.
