Lawrence Arthur Gerard CARROLL

Lawrence Arthur Gerard Carroll - May 12, 1931 - July 31, 2004 - passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 31st, 2004 at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. He was born on May 12th, 1931 in Fort William, son of the late Vince (1967) and Anne Carroll (1971). Larry worked for the Canadian Grain Commission from 1950 – 1966, Saskatchewan Wheat Pool for 10 years as a supervisor and he retired from Parrish and Heimbecker Ltd. in 1991 as General Manager. After his retirement they spent winters in San Antonio golfing and he also enjoyed many summers spent at Shebandowan. Larry was a member of the Fort William Country Club, an Honorary Life Member of the Knights of Columbus, a Board of Director member for G.E.A.P.S. He will be mourned greatly by his wife Norine, daughter Rosemary (Peter), son Frank (Rosa), his sister, Sister Rosemary CSJ grandchildren Holly (Dan), Robert (Ashley), Christina, Lawrence and Danielle, great grandchildren David and Courtney. Funeral services for Mr. Carroll will be held at St. Patrick’s Cathedral on Tuesday, August 3rd, 2004 at 3:30 P.M. A private interment will take place on Wednesday. Memorial visitation will be held on Monday evening from 7 – 9 P.M. with prayers at 7:30 P.M. in the chapel of Jenkens Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre.
