Gerald "Jerry" Joseph McNorton - October 11, 1942 - July 31, 2004 - 61 years, peacefully, on July 31, 2004 at his home in Lakeshore surrounded by his family. Beloved husband and best friend of 41 years to Lea-Ann (nee Demers). Loving father of William 'Billy'; Kevin; and Jeff and wife Kristin. Dear son of the late Norman and Eva (nee Mayville). Dear son-in-law of Marie Adam and the late Adrian Demers. Dear Pépé of Holly, Heidi, Sean, Megan, Terra and Gillian. Dear brother of John McNorton and Maureen Billings; Mary Helen St. Pierre and Allan Boyd; Charlene and Jim Williams and the late Paul(1973). Dear brother-in-law of Lorna Dupuis, Darol and Gloria Demers, Laurel and Bill Dean, Denelle and Pat Dugal, Darin Demers and Linda Lacelle and the late Dale Demers and will be remembered by many nieces and nephews. Jerry was a retiree of Daimler Chrysler after 37 years of service and was a member of C.A.W. Local 444. Visiting Tuesday and Wednesday from 1:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Prayers Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. The funeral will be held on Thursday, August 5, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. from The Marcotte Funeral Home and Chapel, 12105 Tecumseh Rd., Tecumseh (735-2830) to St. Anne Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Fr. Robert Couture will be the celebrant. Interment at St. Anne Cemetery. As your expression of sympathy, a donation to the Hospice of Windsor or to the Diabetes Wellness Centre of Windsor/Essex would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Jerry McNorton in the Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held on September 26, 2004.
