Barbara Lillian LANG

MacLEOD, Barbara Lillian (Lang) - Forever in our hearts, our lovely, gracious, elegant kind mother, grandmother, great- grandmother entered into rest, surrounded by her loving family. Barbara went to be with her Lord and Saviour in her 81st year at St. Joseph's Lifecare Centre on Sunday, October 4, 2009. Barbara was predeceased by her husband R. Leonard MacLeod (1999), her precious grandson (age 6) Gary Gallant (1988), brothers Orville, Calvin, Wilbur, Inard and sister Greta (October 2009). She is survived by brother Delwyn and sisters Noleen and Phyllis. Barbara was a devoted and loving mother to Rod (Mary), Neil (Kathy), Carol (Pierre). She will be remembered by grandchildren Rodney Jr. (MacLeod), Jacqueline (Jorin Lukings), Scott (MacLeod), Christine (MacLeod), Jefferey (MacLeod), Dionne (Regan Kenny), Pam Gallant. Great-grandchildren Reese, Kenny, Nina, Kenny, Garrett Gallant. After a long and rich life Barbara no longer suffers from the affliction of Alzheimers. Throughout her life she was sustained by her very deep faith in God, and she now knows her Hope in Jesus Christ...eternal life in Heaven. We will miss her gentle and loving spirit. Barbara touched many by her kindness, her compassion and she will be held dear in the hearts of her family and friends. We wish to thank the nurses and caregivers at St. Joseph's Lifecare, her doctors Dr. Manning and Dr. Hadley for their love and compassion, especially in Mom's final days. Cremation has taken place and to honour Barbara's wishes there will be no funeral service. Her family will each remember her in their own special way. She was cherished.
