BRITNELL, Andrew Joseph - peacefully, with his family at his side on Thursday, October 1, 2009 at QHC-Belleville General Hospital. Andrew Britnell of Belleville and formerly of Prescott in his 94th year. Beloved husband for 63 years of Ruth Britnell (nee Elliott). Loving father of Don and his wife Sharilyn of Belleville. Cherished grandpa of Erin and Geoff. Andrew is fondly remembered by dearest friends Jim & Gloria Purcell of Spencerville and their family and by several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, George and Johannah Britnell, by his sisters Mary Sherwin, and Kathleen Schickler and brothers Eli and George Britnell. A Memorial Service celebrating Andrew's life will be held at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 425 Center St. Prescott at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2009. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until the time of service. Cremation has taken place with inurnment in Belleville Cemetery. If desired, Memorial Donations to St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Prescott or to the Belleville General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
