CROSBIE, Douglas Thomas - (Retired Belleville Police Chief / former Belleville City Councillor/ WWII Canadian Navy Veteran) - Passed away, peacefully, at the Belmont Long Term Care Belleville on Friday October 2nd, 2009. Douglas Crosbie, of Belleville, in his 86th year. Son of the late Thomas and Mary Crosbie. Beloved husband of 62 years of June Eva Crosbie (nee Pickett). Dear father of Jane Crosbie, and Thomas “Tom“ Crosbie, both of Belleville. Dear brother of Stu Crosbie and wife Patti of Edmonton. Friends may call at the JOHN R. BUSH FUNERAL HOME, 80 Highland Avenue, Belleville (613-968-5588) on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Service in the chapel on Thursday October 8th, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Padre Sid Horne officiating.
