KENNEDY, Eunice Catherine - It is with great sadness that we the family, announce the sudden passing of our dear mother Eunice at the General Hospital on Thursday, October 8, 2009. Mom was born Eunice Catherine McGregor, July 15, 1926 on St. Joseph Island. Mom has moved on to be reunited with her husband and soul mate of 62 years, Clifford who passed away August 19, 2005. Dearest mother of Marvin (Karen), Dwain (Nuallagh), Leslie (Susan) and Clayton. Loving grandmother of Marnie Merrifield (Brian), Scott Kennedy (Melisa) of Mississauga, Rachel Kennedy Hall, Mark Kennedy (friend Natalie) of Mississauga, Sarah Allen (Nick of Hespeler, Jill Lillington and Greg Kennedy of Ottawa, Sean Kennedy and Chris Strand of Thunder Bay. Great grandmother of Jessica and Jamie; Cailyn, Laura and Kevin; Lexus; Jack and Morgan. Eunice will be fondly remembered my many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her mother Ann (Morton) Frayn (late Bob) and Douglas McGregor. Dear sister of Dona Ballstadt (Ken), Chuck Frayn (Brenda) and Robert Frayn of B.C. Survived by her sisters-in-law Gertrude Nadon of North Bay, Doris, Cecelia and Sylvia Kennedy and brother-in-law Martin Kennedy (Betty). Best friend of the late Minnie Rush of North Bay and her children Kim Carswell of Richmond Hill and Curtis Rush of Toronto who always occupied a special place in her heart. Special friend of Mae Roberts. Both mom and dad were members of the Royal Purple and the Elks and always cherished all their wonderful friends and all the fun and laughter they shared with you. Take care of yourselves. I can hear dad saying 'Well mother, now that we are together again you can sing 'The Old Rugged Cross' for me one more time.' At Eunice's request, there will be no visitation. Interment of ashes will take place at Holy Sepluchre Cemetery on Friday, October 16, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with immediate family present. Memorial donations made to the New Sault Area Hospital Building Fund would be appreciated by the family. A big thank you to Vern Barkley for your kindness and generosity. Special thanks to the 3rd floor staff at the Davey Home for their kindness and compassion. You made mom feel like she was back working at 100Y at the General Hospital.
