MILLARD, Iola - of Welland, at Rapelje Lodge on Friday, October 9, 2009 in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late Ernest Millard. Loving mother of Karen Horkey of Welland, Joan Sathmary of Fonthill, Eileen Lucas of St. Catharines and James Millard (Fiona) of Halifax, NS. Lovingly remembered by her 10 grandchildren and 7 great- grandchildren. Dear sister-in-law of Winnie Semley of Fonthill and aunt of David Semley (Lynda) of Welland. Predeceased by her parents Luther and Alberta Brown, her brothers James and John Brown and her grandson Michael Leishman. Mrs. Millard worked for the Sears Order Office for 20 years retiring in 1978. Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to visit the family at the H.L. CUDNEY FUNERAL HOME, 241 West Main Street, Welland, on Friday, October 16th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with the funeral service being conducted at 1:00 p.m. in the Cudney chapel followed by interment in Woodlawn Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Welland Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
