MANSFIELD, Josie (Josefina Galera) - It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Josie Mansfield on Sunday, October 11, 2009, at the Brantford General Hospital at the age of 82. Beloved wife of the late Ernest Mansfield. Cherished mother to Les (Julie), Brian, Alfred (Angela), Rose (Jim). Loving Nana to Lisa (John), Kristy, Joanna (Dave), Jacqueline, Kyle, Bailey, Robert, Ashley, and Nathan. Great Nana to Tristan. Dearest friend to Nicki. Caring sister and aunt to family in Spain, England and Gibraltar. Josie was born in Cadiz, Spain, and later relocated to England with her soul mate Ernest. Being a Military Officer's wife, she accompanied her husband on many postings around the world with her four children, emigrating to Canada in 1979. Josie loved cooking, sewing, dancing, and spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed helping others and volunteered for many years at St. Joseph's Hospital. She spent the last two years at Tranquility Place retirement home where she made many new friends. She will be truly missed. A private family service was held at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME on Friday October 16, 2009. Followed by interment at Farringdon Burial Ground.
